Adrian, can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a hardworking husband and father to two wonderful kids. Usually, if I am not working hard, I love watching shows on Netflix with my wife, or adventures looking for good food (especially in Malaysia!). I am a guinea pig to my wife’s baking and cooking (which lucky me, it turns out really good!).

I try to be a good example to my 17-year-old daughter by telling her if she does not understand anything, find Mr Google! 😀 I do my best for my 14-year-old son by supporting him with his intention of being king of Fortnite and Minecraft!

Can you tell us more about your job?

Currently, my work is divided into 3 areas. Part-time Stock Manager for the Australian company. Part-time Events Creative Director for events. The other hours are for a 3D architectural company as their Project Manager.

After working hours, my entrepreneur spirit kicks in and I represent a beauty factory in Italy as their Asian representative.

Do you have a dedicated space to work?

I have two locations for my work. One, is at my home-based location and the other one, in an office where I am currently their Project Manager. So I work Saturday to Monday at home and the other four days will be located in the office.

What does your typical workday look like?

I wake up pretty early (about 6am), and if time allows, I will have a 5km run before I start work.

Because of the different businesses I support, I rely on a few apps to keep me abreast with all projects. I usually will get tons of calls or Whatsapp from clients during half the day and while multi-tasking these, I keep tabs with all my team members to make sure our projects are progressing as scheduled.

During the evenings, if I did not run in the morning, I will do HIIT exercises and run (to keep me sane!) and unload all my stress by working out!

What tools do you use to stay productive?

The tools I used are pretty cool:
- for social media management
- monday.com for project management
- and Onenote for daily notes
- Microsoft software for presentation to clients
- Design software
- 3dmax9 for everything 3D
- Whatsapp — keeping updates to all my clients
- Dropbox — all files saved the right way
- practically every software for teleconferencing
- And not forgetting, actual physical notebooks!
- Divi for Website Development

What is your current workspace setup?

Personal Desktop computer with a 27in monitor for my home base.
Dual 24in monitor in the office.

Favourite unplugged activity

Watching and listening to songs via . Usually, it’s the Korean and Thai songs. Watching for sure too!

What do you like most about working remotely?

I control my own working time. I get to plan out all my task based on my own judgement. If I feel I need a break, I will just take it. I work where there are no interruptions and definitely get more things done.

If I need to travel, I will just do so and work from anywhere.

Most of the time, I have my phone with me and pretty much could do quite a few things with just a handphone nowadays. If not, my trusty laptop will do the trick during travelling.

Thank you Adrian!
